Telephone Helpline

Our Telephone Helpline is based locally at our Hailsham HQ. The service is available from Monday to Thursday 9am to 4.30pm. The telephone helpline will assist you with:

  • General information about East Sussex Vision Support and the services we offer
  • Information about other services available across the county and nationally
  • Support and help wherever they can

The helpline is run by two Head Office members of staff and volunteers. The staff are experienced and able to field questions and give advice to people calling. The caller might be worried about their benefits or where to go when they visit the eye clinic. Sometimes they are not sure if transport is arranged to get them to a social group or perhaps a volunteer is needed at short notice. All these things and many more are dealt with by the East Sussex Vision Support Helpline.

“I heard of ESAB through another member and Maggie came out to see me. Everyone has been so friendly and helpful, and Maggie really knows her stuff. Don’t wait to get help from ESAB, ring them.”

Anita Atkinson, Hailsham Member

“ESAB have helped me with a volunteer who takes me swimming every week to keep active, and they also helped me with mobility. I’ve got more involved by going to the social groups and it’s been nice building friendships with people”

Keith Cleaver, Hove Member
